Tom McCoig is internationally recognized as an outstanding physical security, auditing, and training consultant. When the Panama Canal required its first security assessment and plan under the International Maritime Organization’s International Ship, Port, and Facility Security Code, Tom served as the Physical Security Advisor for the ABS Consulting team that performed those tasks. He also provided assessment and training for the Canadian Maritime Security regulation, the Grand Cayman’s Ship Registry, conducted FSO training workshops in Halifax, Nova Scotia, provided ISPS Code maritime security officer, exercise’ and drill training and provided security assessment technical services for the cruise ship terminals at the Port of Bahamas in Nassau, provided ISPS port police training in St. Lucia, West Indies, for the Organization of America States (OAS) and in 2012 provided security training for the Maritime Inspectors with the European Union Commission in a course taught in Brussels’s, Belgium at the Hague. In the U.S., Mr. McCoig has taught scores of workshops and courses on physical security, conducting security assessments and audits, developing security plans, selecting appropriate security technologies and other related topics.
